1 - Your Website Name

The first step to take when you need a new website is to register the name of the website. This name is known as a domain name. Registering a domain name takes between 3 and 6 hours. We will assist you with the registration of the name.

Your domain name can consist of a sequence of the following characters and numbers:
'a-z' 'A-Z' '0-9' and '-'.

Any combination of these characters make for a valid domain name, for example:
www.mywebsite.co.za,
www.my-website.co.za,
www.123mywebsite.co.za

Once you have a name in mind you need to check if the name is not already registered by someone else. If the name you would like to use is free, you can continue and register the name.

2 - Running "Hosting" your website on the Internet

The process of having your website on the Internet for everyone to see, 24 hours a day, is called Website Hosting. This INCLUDES services like your email addresses, FTP and databases. After your domain name has been registered you need to setup space for your website on a special computer, called a web server, which is on the Internet 24 hours a day. All your website services are managed from within your Hosting Plan.

Hosting Plans are setup based on the amount of disk space you will need and runs on the web server. When you create/change your website, or setup a new email in your hosting plan, changes on the web server are live immediately!

If you have a very large website, with lots of images and data, you will need a larger plan to run your website. If you are unsure about the size of your website, you can contact us for (FREE) assistance!

3 - Paying for your website name and Hosting Plan has never been easier!

When you host your website with us you don't have to sign any contracts or agreements! Our Hosting Plans are all pre-paid, allowing you to move between Plans without paying additional fees when you require a bigger plan.

You can pay for your website(s) using the following payment types: Secure Credit Card Payment, Internet Transfers, and Bank Deposits at your nearest Absa bank.
